With years of serving the offshore and marine industries in the UK and beyond, Gavin spotted the need in the market for eco-friendly alternatives and partnered with Chris to found MGPS. Together they have built Ultraguard and brought it to the marketplace.
Chris went to sea as an Engineering Cadet straight from school and is an Alumni of Glasgow College of Nautical studies.
After ascending through the ranks as an engineering officer in the Merchant Navy he finished off as a Chief Engineer on tugs and naval support vessels before moving ashore to the marine service sector. Chris founded MGPS with Gavin and together they have built Ultraguard into what it is today.
Aaron joined MGPS straight from college in 2021. Embracing the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology, he has gone on to become an authority on the installation and servicing of the Ultraguard systems. Having completed all his STCW Marine safety courses, if he’s not hard at work in his test lab at Ultraguard HQ, he can usually be found in various port and dockyards around the globe installing new Ultraguard systems to customer’s vessels.
Claire joined Team Ultraguard in 2024, bringing with her a strong background in Sales, Event Management, and Administrative roles. With a wealth of transferable skills, she quickly became a valuable asset to the team. Claire’s role is varied and dynamic and ensures the smooth running of day-to-day operations across multiple areas of the business.
